So what is Artis Ligno?....

Artis Ligno is latin for "craft in wood"  ,or I suppose it's more literally, "art in wood".  The curious point is that when you say something in Latin, instead of  everyday English, it often sounds more intelligent,  even more important.  Frankly, I'm hoping it sounds equally interesting either way.  I genuinely hope that you get that subtle excitement I feel when I hear the word craft.  If you do, or if you don't, this is what the essence of this blog is meant to evoke:  excitement and passion in the art and craft that can happen when you work with wood ( and a few other materials as well).  I hope you enjoy what follows.- yours truly, Jeff Novak
